In general this game is good, but it definitely has it's flaws. It has no hints and the only way to get power ups are through real cash. There's no in game currency or gifts for collecting stars. You also need candy to unlock most levels of the game, but candy is extremely difficult to get, and these levels aren't cheap. This just limits and ruins the player experience which Is why I rated it only three stars. Unfortunately this game hasn't been updated in a year so I'm not expecting an update.
I'm not gonna lie—Cut the Rope: Experiments is a game worth 'enjoying' rather than playing. The game is full of amusing puzzles and stunning graphics that will keep you entertained, but only for a while. Sadly, using candy as a medium of exchange wasn't the best idea. It's the only way you'll progress through the game, not to mention the over-reliance on ads and in-app purchases to get them. But I guess that's what experiments are for.
Out of all the CTR games I've played, Cut the Rope: Expirements is so far, the weakest. It shares the same problem as CTR2 and Magic in the way that you can only play so many levels at one time. But here, the problem is worse than those two, because no matter what, the game will require candies. Whether you skip a level or retry one, the game will take away your precious candies. And that's a shame because it has by far the strongest CONCEPTS of a Cut the Rope game, but it is handled badly.
Constant, unskippable 30-second full-screen ads (in a paid game!). I probably spend more time watching ads than playing the game. Must use points to replay or play next level, even if you collect all stars (in a paid game!). Video tutorials on YouTube don't match/work, they tweaked the game (literally changed some levels) to make it virtually impossible to collect 3 stars on some levels so you must purchase powers. Update: developer refunded 100% after I threatened legal action.
