The My BMW App is optimised for vehicles built from 2014 onwards. The availability of individual app functions depends on your vehicle equipment and your BMW ConnectedDrive contract. The availability of app functions may vary between countries.

I Really like this app I often park at airports so being able to check the status of the car is a fantastic reassurance. Also flashing the lights and finding its position. One suggestion whilst nice to know tyre pressures would also be great to know battery voltage when parked for extended periods.
You've introduced a charging timer bug in the last update. My i3 now creates random start stop times for charging, even when I go to bed with it set to 'charge immediately' (with the charger do the timings). I've been onto customer service and they say I've got everything set correctly. Please fix this urgent issue, BMW app team - I'm getting anxious about not having enough commuting range each morning. It's also costing me more, as I'm having to charge during peak times to solve the issue
Love the app, but it needs more. I'd like more settings/options. • to be able to set the alarm off • to see current mpg, trip mpg etc • to start engine so clearing the screen is faster. Also having a notification from the app when the alarm goes off, will help alert me if I don't hear the alarm sound, due to being far away from the car.
Since an update in May 2026, the app keeps changing from my default setting of "charge immediately' to setting a random time slot and a departure time. I've checked all the settings in the car and charger/energy app but nothing else is conflicting. So frustrating when you put your car on charge and it doesn't fully charge! edit 06.07.26 so it turns out BMW removed API access recently so it is the BMW app causing issues. Had to get Octopus to link Ohme to charge as more reliable
