I'm only speaking in the perspective of a tourist.. concept is great and overall it's a great app! But personally, the GPS directions made the service difficult without including a bike drop off station along my destination route. Additionally, it could be more clear, the difference for purchasing public transport tickets vs "p+r" services or only using a bicycle.
I've been using Strava to track my rides for lack or a good alternative, this app is the first that seems to offer a good one. I would have two feature requests that, if implemented, would let me get rid of Strava for good: 1- adding different bikes to my profile and associate rides with specific bikes, this lets me track distance and helps plan maintenance of some parts like internally geared hubs (IGH). 2- truncate and split recordings. sometimes I forget to stop so I need to truncate it.
I found it awkward to use, mostly because the cycle paths aren't shown on the map as you're cycling in real time, only on the map before you set a course. So when I got to a part where I was confused, the app couldn't help me make decisions on the fly, I just had to blindly follow the app. And when I deviated from the set course, it didn't automatically update and adapt, it kept trying to force me to go back to the set route. And it seemed to update my position quite slowly
Fantastic app for commuters and casual cyclists. Great itinerary algorithm (better than bikemap, ride with GPS or Strava for my commuting route). GPS turn by turn route guidance available for free. Possibility to import .GPX files. Community challenges. Bicycle parking locations at destination. Great concept!
