Haven't spent any money. Played since release. Gameplay is lackluster. There's really no interaction with the hamsters that you can do other than making them fall down. I spend less than 15 minutes daily because there's nothing to do but watch ads. Watching ads is not gameplay. Sure you can decorate the valley, but the hamster's don't interact with the furniture. Buildings are also weighed weirdly. The first building you unlock does 95% of the work, so unlocking new ones doesn't feel rewarding.
The art is very cute, but the game falls into the same terrible monetization a lot of similar games do. The ad removal is on a subscription, it immediately has a pricey season pass (which feels rough to complete as it involves a lot of things that require you to just sit around and wait for), and despite the encouragement to relax and go at your own pace (which... a season pass encourages the opposite), so many things require you to watch ads that you'll mainly be doing that more than anything.
The only positive things I can say are that the hamsters and overall art design is really cute. It would be wrong to call this a game because games are supposed to be fun; this is far from it. Pocket Camp is more entertaining with nothing to do. All you do is collect coins and friendship to complete "buildings." Then those buildings and hamsters gain you coins/etc. It's an infinite loop of clicking and boredom. You watch an optional ad every two minutes. At least have a story or mini games.
The game is very cute, but you pretty much have to constantly watch ads in order to progress. I didn't mind the ads much until I kept constantly getting ads for a game called Evertale. Those commercials are very disturbing and can easily scare children or even people who don't like horror themes. If you're going to play ads, at least make them all kid friendly for a kid friendly game.
