I am so glad that they've kept this game playable. Of all the Pokémon apps and non-standard games through the years, this is one of my favorites. I had first played it years ago (I think once it came to mobile) and then lost it during phone changes. It's fun, it is challenging at times (sometimes infuriatingly so) but there's a good balance of free gifts to help you advance and get high scores to keep going.
I love all the different pokémon there are to obtain. The only thing I don't like is that you use up a heart even if you win. Other than that, it's a great game. Edit (06-17-2026): As others have mentioned, after the most recent update the music and sounds have stopped working. The app also freezes when you leave causing you to lose a heart in the process.
This is a fun pokemon game. It reminds me of Tetris Attack a bit, even though it's more turn based. You can level up pokemon by using them and capture new pokemon when you win a stage. Each pokemon is a level in the game and you win by making matches with your pokemon that deal more damage depending on type and level, in a limited move format. It has mega pokemon and legendary pokemon and different types of gameplay. Also, the active pokemon are often similar to those currently in pokemon go.
It's fun, but in dire need of some quality of life changes. I loathe the "energy" system that a lot of free games have. I would like to play your game and asking me to constantly pay if I want hearts is annoying. The UI is also very slow. An animation speed slider would be nice. It would also be nice if you could disable the hints the game constantly gives you. 3 seconds goes by and it tries to shove a suboptimal match down your throat.
