Honestly, works great and this version is the one where I ended up completing Erect and Pick songs for the first time. Gamepad works, but Im not sure how this happened but it thinks I'm on a PSP or something. When I go to set buttons, it says circle, square, x, triangle, so it clearly thinks I'm using a PlayStation gamepad. That would be fine and all, but when I try and set my trigger buttons, they are unresponsive, meanwhile the bumpers work just fine (thus the PSP comment).
I love this game soooo much, I wish I knew how to add mods but honestly I don't think you can at all. There are minimal ads and you can even get new animations for each score you get on a song. I've been playing it for a long time and nothing ever got me mad because I knew if I messed up and got a bad score it would be on me and not the game. Overall, you should definitely download this game if you were a fan of playing rhythm games on a Nintendo switch.
Honestly this game is an amazing port. Minimal ads, great song quality, basically exactly what youd expect from the original PC version. I like how they even made the arrows spaced out a bit, that way both thumbs can actually reach the arrows, and in double notes, you can tap the middle of them and it'll count. The only issue thus far that I've had is the LAG. In the middle of songs (Which most of the time, it is literally in every song), you'll get a lag spike, which can mess up a P rating.
I really enjoy the mobile port for this game. I think it would be a good idea to add some more features for lag reduction on lower end devices such as reduced animations (no moving backgrounds, removing the rain from levels like weekend, less boombox bouncing etc) . I also don't know how possible it is, but being able to access community content would be fun too! regardless though I love it and have already played thru it like 5 times :p
