• Random city growth means each game is unique.
• Over two dozen of real-world cities to test your planning skills.
• A variety of upgrades so you can tailor your network.
• Normal mode for quick scored games, Endless to relax, or Extreme for the ultimate challenge.
• Build your metro exactly how you want to with the all-new Creative mode.
• Compete against the world every day in the Daily Challenge.
• Colorblind and night modes.
• Responsive soundtrack created by your metro system, engineered by Disasterpeace.
Please note that Mini Metro is incompatible with some Bluetooth headphones. If you do not hear audio over Bluetooth, please try disconnecting your headphones and restarting the game.
things to improve: 1) undo button for track changes when paused. 2) the ability to select which color of track i want to use instead of relying on a preset order. 3) the ability to see stats about how many trains/cars/etc. are currently deployed on a track. 4) better interface for working a chosen track when fiddling with highly interconnected nodes. (ie: click color in side bar & then only that color can be edited on the map) 5) let ppl actually look at the map when deciding their next upgrade
I really appreciate that this game is reasonably priced, with no ads. But it doesn't feel realistic, which makes it less interesting the more you play. I was obsessed at first, but now I find myself occasionally giving it another shot, only to be reminded why I had stopped playing. It would make more sense if each stop was a guideline vs a location you HAVE to connect to. Then you could create realistic lines based on nearby hotspots (extra points if hotspots appear/disappear/change over time)
5 stars for style, 3 stars for gameplay. Visuals are perfection. The generative soundtrack is wonderfully creative, when it isn't stuck on a dissonant chord. Early and mid game is fun, but once you get deep enough into a game, the only way to really improve your score is by pausing and moving trains to full stations manually, which undermines the fun of designing a good system. Overall enjoyable for a few weeks, but the game is generally less fun the better you get
This is an enjoyable game for kids, teens, and adults. At first, it was a time killer with an interesting concept. As a writer, I used it as a means to better understand metro systems. It gives you a basic understanding, but I felt immediately taken in by the gameplay. The levels are unlocked in a fair manner and several of the maps require adapting in such a way that you can learn a new method for other maps. I'm rarely bored as there are many modes to play as well.
