Welcome to Zoo Shikaku, a charming logic puzzle game inspired by the classic Japanese Shikaku puzzle.

Each level presents a grid filled with adorable animal clues. Your mission is to divide the entire board into rectangular habitats. Every habitat must contain exactly one animal, and the number beside that animal tells you how many tiles its home must cover.

The rules are easy to understand, but finding the perfect arrangement will put your spatial thinking and deduction skills to the test!

🐾 BUILD A HOME FOR EVERY ANIMAL

Every animal is waiting for its own habitat.

Drag across the grid to create squares and rectangles. Choose the right dimensions, fit each habitat into place, and make sure every animal gets exactly the space it needs.

🔢 TURN NUMBERS INTO SHAPES

The number shown on each animal clue represents the total area of its habitat.

An animal marked 6 might live in a 2 × 3 or 1 × 6 rectangle. An animal marked 4 could fit inside a 2 × 2 square or another valid rectangular shape.

Study the available space and determine which shape works best.

🧩 COMPLETE THE ENTIRE ZOO

To solve a puzzle successfully:

🐯 Each habitat must contain exactly one animal
🔢 The habitat area must match the animal’s number
▭ Every habitat must form a rectangle or square
🚫 Habitats cannot overlap
✅ Every tile on the board must be covered

One incorrect shape can block several animals, so look at the whole grid before making your next move.

Some habitats have only one possible shape. Others can be arranged in several different ways.

Compare the clues, inspect the edges of the board, identify limited spaces, and use neighboring animals to eliminate impossible solutions. Each correct deduction brings the full zoo map closer to completion.
