HOW IT WORKS

Each round: you and the opponent are dealt 10 cards. You take turns drawing from the stock or discard pile and then discarding a card. When your deadwood — the sum of unmatched card points — drops to 10 or less, you can knock. If it drops to 0, you go gin for a 25-point bonus. Your opponent can lay off unmatched cards onto your melds to reduce their own deadwood. First to 100 points wins the match.
