About Ghost Case
20 years ago there was a horrible murder in Hidden Town, and the murderer was never caught. In recent days, detective Ren Larsen has received strange messages from the afterlife. Apparently the souls of the victims cannot rest in peace and want to be heard. They need the person responsible to pay for what he did. Ren has a bad feeling but decides to reopen and solve mystery case. Will he be able to find the murderer?
The Ghost Case is the fourth episode of the Hidden Town escape room games series. You will have to go through different parts of the city investigating and looking for clues that will help you solve mystery case. Interview the suspects involved and discover the murderer.
All the Dark Dome escape room games can be played in any order, among them there are connections that will take us through various paths until we unveil all the mysteries of Hidden Town. This horror escape mystery game has a direct connection to The Girl in the Window and then Haunted Laia.

This is the 2nd game I played from Dark Dome, which I finished both in the same day. I love these type of concepts and no matter how much you try to expect the unexpected, it always twists it to something completely different! I finished it in around 2 hours, having a good challenge but not being too stuck on certain areas. The only part I got really confused on was with the voodoo doll, and kept getting game over because I didn't get it at first :') though that was just me being dumb lol
The game looks good from what I've been able to play, but there's a puzzle early in the game that requires sound, is randomized so you can't look it up, the hint doesn't actually help, and it can't be skipped. So anyone who's deaf, struggles with sound processing, can't turn on their volume, etc. can't play the game. Minus three stars for the lack of accessibility.
I like the look and feel of the game, but I'm frustrated that using logic on these puzzles is mostly counterproductive. I was raised on point-and-click adventure games, so when I'm asked, for example, to get a light fixture to work, I'm going to assume it's to illuminate something. But no, in games like this, it's more often about patterns than purpose 😕
All these games are nothing short of 5 stars. However, in this one, I got stuck and just couldn't figure it out. It was impossible for me to advance, so I was forced to "cheat" and ask for my first ever clue. Little did I know the game had glitched and removed a book I STILL NEEDED from my inventory after I solved something without knowing. I had to restart the entire game after almost 2 hrs of wasted efforts. Such a shame I had to resort to this. This is a 5 otherwise.
