I like Jess Richburg & love her classes. Issue is with Breakthrough apps which handles the programming. Many classes cannot be casted from a device to my tv w/Chromecast Google TV with due to technical problems, Breakthrough admitted its a problem on their back-end. If u watch on your phone/tablet its great, but if you cast everything, more than half the classes cannot be casted and it's very, very frustrating. I don't like to watch on a phone. I need the casting feature to work properly.
5 stars for the teacher, really, but the app is just OK. I really like Jessica's classes, and follow her on YT, and would gladly subscribe or donate there. But casting has been wonky for me, and the phone screen is less than ideal for yoga instruction. I'll subscribe for a while longer, just to support what Jess is doing, but I'll probably still be watching her classes on YT.
The instruction is good. The UI is good and intuitive. The way courses are broken out and presented is good. Main issues I've had are the cast function not working reliably and videos randomly starting over from the beginning. Cast worked once so I can't say it doesn't work at all, but usually it connects to my tv but doesn't cast the media and just keeps playing on my phone.
I've used this app for years, some times definitely more than others. I haven't found another instructor with such a secure attachment and passion for yoga. The perfect balance of supportive with grace and viewing challenges as new opportunities. I fell off my self care for almost a year and came back to the habit of daily yoga and the app was transformed since my last use! I loved the user interface back in 2023-2024, and reopening the design is well done! 🙌🏼 the daily affirmations are 10/10
