When I had the previous version of Blynk I spent a few dollars on energy which is now worthless. I think at least they could make the amounts spent on energy available in subscription discounts. Even so, I won't pay as it's a non-commercial learning project. The widgets available on the free plan are VERY limited. It doesn't make sense to me. I'm going to look for another more complete platform that serves me free of charge for small projects.
Pretty disappointed. Legacy Blynk was great - had a ton of widgets, and was intuitive to use. Now even with payment, they lack many widgets from the old version. I used and paid for old Blynk for its ease of use & feature set, but now I'm better off putting in the time to develop full custom solutions since they've removed everything that made it good & easy to use.
Every single time I close and reopen the app, I am completely logged out and have to sign in again. (I have given background activity access to this app). Additionally, the initial loading screen takes an unusually long time to load, as if it is struggling to authenticate my account or fetch the login screen. Please fix this session persistence issue. Update: I have cleared the cache and data. now it is working fine. Thanks
The pricing is pretty fair for commercial use, no complaints. I'm no commercial user, I use it for DIY projects at home. I invested my money on the old system. A monthly payment isn't a good investment for me. I better move out before the boat sinks. Cuz the fact that they named the old app 'legacy', doesn't look like it's gonna be alive in good health for much longer. Also it was a bit disappointing, felt like when a close friend had suddenly turned greedy. Not my business though. Bold move!
