Bloomtown: A Different Story is a narrative JRPG mixing turn-based combat, monster taming and social RPG set in a seemingly pleasant 1960s Americana world.
Play as Emily and her younger brother Chester sent on their summer holiday to their grandpa’s cozy and quiet town. May be too quiet… Children starting to disappear, nightmares getting more real… Something’s not right, especially for a 12-year-old girl with an adventurous mind!
It is up to you to solve this mystery and free Bloomtown and its inhabitants from a glooming fate!
A tale of two worlds:
Bloomtown is a quiet and cozy American town with its cinema, grocery shops, library, parks…
But this is only a façade! A demon world is growing on the underside, children are disappearing, and it is up to you to save the town!
A different Story:
Embark on mysterious adventure to save the townspeople from their own demons: Fear and vices have taken monstrous life form in the Underside.
Follow Emily and her group of friends, figure out the mysteries of the mystical disappearances and save Bloomtown’s inhabitants souls!

In the turn-based tactical battles against giant demons and dungeon bosses from the Underside, Emily is not alone! Use each character abilities and strengths to come out victorious. Summon your own inner demons as well as the captured ones to set up devastating combos.

During combat, catch weaken creatures to add them. With loads of unique creatures and a deep fuse system, create hundreds of synergies and your own demon-hunting squad.

Explore the town’s secret areas, strength your physical abilities at the gym, gain pocket money working at the grocery store, make resourceful friends or do some relaxing gardening. You decide what is the most useful for your adventure.

Great game with lots of different game play and high replayability. Seems that the glitches have mostly been fixed, the game didn't feel laggy at all. The only issue I had was 2 quests would not clear even though I definitely completed them. (Find Sams stone, and Gather Familiar Faces, in case you are interested) I do wish they had explained how to subdue in more detail, I had to go online for advice. All in all its a great game. Cute pixel art, funny dialog choices and plenty to explore.
Yeah it's broken. I'm using a Pixel 9 Pro XL. It seems like instead of trying to fit just the characters in the center of the screen, it's trying to fit the entire map. Like all at once. Making everything impossibly small. Kinda funny to see all of the stuff that's hidden off screen at any given time, but otherwise unplayable. The Steam version is great though, go get that one. It's on sale.
honestly such a cutr game but it feels like the transition into your characters abilities are too far away. -didn't get to meet my demon -everyone has a demon? -why wasn't i introduced the the basic functions of the game -why are is the quest bar all over -i feel like i was given so much before i can even process and they played this whole story.
This is an Adventure game, with a 2D -scrolling in all directions- pixelated map. Features interesting turn-based combat. Loads of great little details, and humourous as well. My issue is "character movement", it's incredibly frustrating when you spend time on just getting from A to B, literally anything will stop your movement, as well as having to tap several times in order to get the character to face in the correct direction And be in the correct place. Not great :(
