Welcome to Despot’s Game, a roguelike autobattler where puny humans wake up in a brutal post-apocalyptic dungeon with no memories, no clothes, and almost no chance to survive.
Build an army, feed it, mutate it, equip it with ridiculous weapons, and send it deeper into the dungeon. Battles happen automatically, so victory is not about tapping faster. It is about building the right RPG squad before the fight begins.
4 levels and Brawl are available for free. Unlock the full game with a one-time purchase.
GAME FEATURES
• Roguelike dungeon runs with endless replayability
• Auto battler combat based on preparation, not reflexes
• RPG-style army building with items, classes, and mutations
• Fast idle-like battles with deep tactical decisions
• Weird pixel art, dark humor, and dystopian chaos
• Asynchronous multiplayer battles! Test your squad against other players’ best teams - if you want.
ROGUELIKE AUTOBATTLER
Every run starts from scratch. The dungeon changes, the enemies change, the shops change, and your strategy has to change with them — well, your usual roguelike experience. Buy swords, crossbows, stale pretzels, coffins, and stranger tools. Turn weak humans into fighters, mages, cultists, tanks, healers, ninjas, shooters, and questionable heroes.
Then watch them fight. Maybe your RPG build becomes unstoppable. Maybe the dungeon destroys everyone in seconds. Either way, learn, adapt, and try one more roguelike run.
IDLE-LIKE BATTLES, REAL STRATEGY
Despot’s Game is not an AFK idle RPG, and combat feels fast once the battle starts. The real choices happen before each fight: who stands in front, who deals damage, who supports the team, which mutations to take, and which human is worth sacrificing.
Create class synergies, stack mutations, manage food, and break the rules.
SURVIVE THE DUNGEON
Explore a procedural dungeon full of monsters, traps, bosses, shops, and random events. Each room can save your army or ruin the run. Every dungeon path is a new experiment, and every dead squad is another lesson from the cruel AI watching you.
BRAWL AND KING OF THE HILL
Survive the main dungeon and send your best army into Brawl and King of the Hill, where your build can face squads created by other players in multiplayer mode. Your perfect roguelike RPG team may crush monsters, but can it survive someone else’s broken strategy?
Totally was looking forward to this game. Then it wanted $20...for a mobile game... If I was going to buy it at that price, I'd have bought it on steam since it has MANY more options. DEV-You have so many complaints about the mobile price, most games brought from pc get a lower price tag, there's a reason for this. Especially when you strip it of customization. Too bad, I was really enjoying it. I also won't be buying any other game you put out. I don't pay greedy devs. Ever.
The game is unplayable past a certain point. Every single run ends in a fatal error where a couple units get stuck after 3 or 4 levels and prevent anything else from happening. It forces a restart and a loss of all progress. For a $20 game, that has a stable release on other platforms, this is beyond unacceptable. It's the same problem reported over 2 years ago to which the devs said they would fix and haven't. Playing on a galaxy s23 + which is more than powerful enough to run the game.
Fun game. Have it on Steam and it's great. I hate that you can't link accounts. Also, moving units in the mobile version is awful. The weakest part about the game is poor balance. For example, in brawl mode, some traits (like revive after battle) don't make sense which is a carryover from the base game. In koth, mutagen + shooters seem to be the predominant strategy since means to counter it are weak. It seems like you just one-shot or get one-shot in koth.
I had been waiting so long for a port of this game to come out, and from the outside it looks great. Though I'm having this issue where the menus overlap, even in the setup select screen the words overlap and stay there so it's hard to tell what I have selected. Another issue is that once I actually do get in, the humans leave like a snail trail anywhere they walk, and it stays even if you go to a new room. Third, on the screens border there's another overlapping bug like on the starting menu.
