"Transomnie" is the gamebook the app is based on. It's written by Emmanuel Quaireau and illustrated by Elodie Marze. It was awarded "Yaztromo" for best gamebook in France of 2010. "Yaztromo" is the biggest annual competition for gamebooks held for nearly a decade.
A lovecraftian horror setting, with some issues. We lose more sanity than any player can have. Even before the crawlers attack. The player is badly informed what is going on around him, or her. The choices have nearly no impact unto the railroaded story, and hence, make playing it seem futile. It is a constant onslaught of horrors & fights, with no option to benefit from.
I loved it, personally. Art and horror aspect are well done. Downside is it's short, but still one of the best text based games out there.
Solid lunch break lovecraftian gamebook. A few nonsensical choices, but overall pretty good.
It's okay, with a few ways to die. Have not found a "good" ending, perhaps there is not one to find. If you are okay with that, it is alright,
