I made a review long ago about this game. It was great then and even greater now. But sadly, when I logged in a few days ago after 2 years of not playing, all my progress was gone. I miss my level 200 ships and stuff, but restarting isn't so bad since they added the starting help I and many others requested long ago. I love seeing what this game has become and hope to see more.
It's a decent idle spaceship game that definitely doesn't have to be competitive to be fun. I've been able to achieve decent results with a little investment here and there when I progress close to a specific event reward, but I've also got an event reward without spending a dime. There's a good spread of ships with different abilities & synergies and the battles are fun to watch. NO ADS, so far! It's a real life game, not an interactive billboard.
It's fun for what it is, however progression is nearly impossible without spending at least $50 a week on ship and resource packs. it's a money pit for sure. The base building is my favorite part, it's advancement affects nearly every aspect of the game. I believe the dev comment about saving resources is in regard to the player station. it collects resources for you on idle. And no one wants to progress through in one week, I certainly don't. Idle progress=<0 tenacity. I want to play.
Initial progress is a bit slow, even for an idle game. It's easy to command and fun to take part in combat. Only played for a couple of days, and have been given a fair number of free pulls; rates seem a bit poor but at least there is merging, which is somewhat useful. Could use more research options and expanded basebuilding.
