Additio is now shoving AI slop into the app. I'll make sure to look for an alternative for next academic year. Just to be clear: AI slop is AI slop. It doesn't matter how "safe" or "compliant" it is. I'm not supporting an app that uses AI.
In spite of the fact that I find this app quite useful, having paid for the app license in 2015/16 thereabout, I am disturbed by the fact that the app won't allow me to use it with my earlier subscription anymore. When I try to login, the app presents me with an option to subscribe. That screen won't disappear, won't allow me to use the app in any way. This, I find to be one of the most unfair things that could ever happen. I am not interested in the new features that come with the web version.
Dropped from 4 to 2 stars. I've just read a review from 2020 about holidays not working with a 2 week timetable and yet despite multiple reviews and almost certainly many emails since then (including from me) the best they can suggest is put each half term in separately which takes hours when you have 10 different classes on a 2 week timetable (so up to 9 different lessons!). Ridiculous. Listen to people. They are the ones paying. I'll not be renewing or recommending unless it's fixed.
Really awful. The gradebook bit is fine. Does what it needs to do. But the timetable and planner are dreadful. I have a two week timetable and a one week holiday but the app can't cope with starting the timetable on the week after the one before the holidays. I accidentally put an extra day on the holidays and so it made all my lessons disappear that day. Now I have corrected the holidays but my timetable hasn't reappeared for those days. The app has the potential to be brilliant but is a long way off.
