Photo thumbnails load too slowly, only once scrolling stops. This is very inconvenient when trying to scroll quickly through thousands of photos to organize them. Also, please add the ability to continue naming convention for similarly named files. For example, when I batch rename a group of photos, it will create "Ice (1), Ice (2)", which is great, but, if I later find another group of photos which I want to continue the batch naming with "Ice (3), Ice (4), etc.", it's not possible.
It is the only app that can consistently support multiple file movements, up to about 8. Unfortunately, two updates ago, if there is an error, all other activities can cease. Sometimes, a file that is being moved is not removed from the original source. Other times, only part of a file is transferred or copied, making the file at the destination corrupt. This was not a problem with earlier versions, and I proved it by turning on a phone that had not been used in three years.
I've been using file manager for at least 4 years and it's still the first app I install on a new phone, the main reason I keep choosing file manager, is because it has no problem handling my music library which consists of 7,122 mp3. songs and 350 music videos, a lot of other managers I've used have crashed or just stopped functioning, so I have no intentions of ever installing it from my devices. it's pretty rock solid because I've had mp3 players crash because too much music.
the app has decreased in efficiency in recent times. it used to load the contents of my folders almost instantly barring ones that had an exorbitant number of files. now it takes its sweet time loading the contents of pretty much any folder. that's not even the worst part. it will take forever to just display a single image file when opened regardless of file size. when it finally lets me see it if I leave the folder I have to wait again. it used to run so much smoother than this.
