I want a refund, I got the game originally with Netflix it was my first Civ game altogether; I've always been in the Total War camp. I was so impressed that when the netflix version apparently either ended or bugged out I found there was a non-netflix version, happily paid $20 worth it for what I thought I was getting. Come to find out its a shell of the game and there the rest is WILDLY expensive DLC. What I have now isn't worth the $20, and I don't want to pay $60-$120 for a phone game.
It's weird that Aspyr just doesn't want money. So many people would buy this if it wasn't so ridiculously priced and didn't have to have an internet connection. The GS and R&F dlc's really should be in a bundled definite edition of the game as they aren't so much dlc's as they are what the game should have been from the beginning. I'm not paying $20 for the base game, $30 for each "dlc" and then a few dollars for each micro pack especially when I've already purchased them on PC and PS5. Just no.
Played on Chromebook flawlessly for 2 years. A few apps like an Messages or Telegram could sometimes crash it with an incoming message notifcation, but mostly crash free. However the most recent June 2025 update from 1.2 --> 1.25 now results in crashes before the game even begins. Nothing I've found fixes this. If you still have 1.2, keep it, turn off auto updates, and never ever update to 1.25. It's embarrassing that Firaxis hasn't gotten around to fixing this.
Funny that my reviews keep getting removed. The game is very fun. It's Civ6 on mobile, which is great. But...it crashes, all the time. Once every few months, you'll likely need to get a support ticket, lose any progress and re-download your game and DLCs because of...well, you never find out why. So, great game, lots of bugs that will simply never be fixed
