The persistent notification is no longer persistent. If you clear all notifications, WeatherBug, along with the temperature indicator, disappears. This was never a problem on older Android devices. I recently upgraded to the Galaxy S25+ phone and a Galaxy S9 tablet. Both exhibit the problem I described. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
As other users of the app have pointed out, maps are not working properly. Recently reached out for a status since I reported the issue a few weeks ago, but there was no response. Is it being worked on? For those interested in a "temporary" fix, I found that if you clear the app data and then reopen the app, the maps do work briefly. Caveats are you lose any weather stations previously saved, which you have to reenter(sorry) & remove and add the widget(if used) back to the desktop. FYI.
Update: NO IMPROVEMENT IN ACCURACY between graphical and text forecasts! This has been bad for years. I've sent them requests to fix it, but their response is that they use two different sources to obtain their forecasts. One source for graphical and another for text forecasts, and they often don't match. For instance, the graphical icon may show a high of 35 degrees, and then the text version says highs in the mid 50's!!!!!!
It's a great app. Been using it for years. Recently, the app became a bit confusing with regards to the paid versions. I'm paying for WeatherBug apparently, but not WeatherBug Elite anymore? Also - concerned about information sharing, especially with regards to location data. To have the alerts really be meaningful, you need to have location data on all the time - but with their sharing policy, I'm less inclined to do so.
