3/5 Enough engagement to not be a near mindless tapping mini game. The strategy is in preps and resource management, not action. So accept it for what it is. Imo it is a frustrating fishbowl experience to play without permanent access to the piggy bank. I would have offered the game for sale with access to it and a challenge mode on new characters to go without instead. Maybe even pay for various challenge modes with different achievements rankings. That's just me though.
The game has a lot of ad incentives. Gold is easy to get, which is nice, but if you don't watch ads, it can take a very long time to afford upgrades. The costs of things goes up very fast. Also, i don't like that the potion duration keeps ticking down while watching another ad. I think the timer should freeze whenever the app is closed or in the background
Another great game from this talented Dev. Idle games are typically not for me but this is great. Its fun and applies several creative spins to a tired genre. Unlike his other games tho, you def hit a progression wall with this early on (wave 14 to 15) which tempts you to spend $ to advance. However, if you dont mind A LOT of repetitive grinding after that, or watching the dozens of available optional 60 sec ads (and of course the daily Idle), then u can still advance through the game for free.
I tried to play this fun little game with many systems to upgrade. BUT Super annoying business model. Spamming way too many Ad opportunities. Having the visual flag to show there is some option the user can take and having it be an Ad watch is not cool. The company is getting some money for the user action of watching an Ad so that should not be considered a free option. I am getting too old and/or too tired of that type of nonsense, so I am not supporting this company by playing their game.
