I have loved the Flow Free games for years, and one of the best features setting them apart from other apps is how unintrusive the ads are. Typically it would be an ad every 10-15 levels, and the ads were extremely brief and/or easy to skip. In the past week or so, however, the ads have been unbelievably bad. They happen every 2-3 levels, and are typically unskippable. If you try skipping, it takes you straight to the play store, and the only way to circumvent them is fully exiting the app.
All four Flow Free games are dead after the last update. I knew this day would come since my tablet is still running Android 4, but it's still disappointing. The apps all now crash before the splash screen even appears. And since cloud sync has never worked to transfer my progress to my new tablet, I've lost daily streaks of well over three years. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted, but I guess it's time to move on.
I enjoy this game a lot. I had played all the way through the original until it became too hard so I downloaded this one. The ads are pretty easy to get around or to deal with, however, I found one glaring issue. Whenever I play, I get a very intrusive pop-up that interrupts my game and takes me to a malicious spam page masquerading as an Amazon page. It happens multiple times per play session and is not only annoying but made me worry my phone had a virus. Please remedy this if you can!
Like with the square based one, im once again requesting to simply have a "solved in X seconds" stored for the different levels. I DONT WANT to be on a time limit - I just want to know how much time it did take, whether that be 30 seconds or 30 minutes. Of course, like the previous, miles ahead of the competition in that the controls actually feel smooth and has settings to make them cater to your preferences.
