I downloaded this game thinking it would be just like the Gwent from Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. It's not, matter a fact it's like a whole new game all together. More complicated and they don't give much help to new players at all. Did video research to help understand it. However it's not helping if I keep getting repeating cards over and over again. You get more rare cards at prestige. But guess I gotta lose a thousand times before I finally get to that point. Buying starter kegs didn't help neither
A beautiful, deep and challenging card battler set in the Witcher universe. Very fun and addictive, though the learning curve is pretty steep. It could use some good tutorials and a bit of balancing, but unfortunately CDPR has stopped development of this game. You can get all the cards without spending a penny, but it takes time. Or you can earn them faster by paying for a 'journey'. There's a good sized community of enthusiastic and knowledgeable players. Definitely recommend.
I loved this game on console. It's even better on mobile! Edit 4 years later: I still love this game. My one complaint for the mobile app is that it force resets the game if it's minimized for even 1 second. If this happens during a match, it's an automatic fortfeit... I don't think this should happen, especially on a mobile game where sometimes things pop up and force your app to minimize. I've lost a lot of games because I got a phone call.
This is the only multiplayer game I play on mobile. I haven't spent a dime on this game yet I feel like I've progressed so much. I've been able to unlock tons of things. Like cards, lore, quests, skins, etc. I play this on PC also. Both are great experiences. This is actually my first CCG that I've been able to not only get into but do fairly well at. Between mobile and PC I've got sounds 80 hours put in and I plan on putting at least that and more in the future. Plus . . . It's Witcher!
