About This App

Dr.Web Family Security for Android is an application that allows its user to protect their family in the digital world, helps to locate the protected devices, to limit access to undesirable apps, sites and information, and to secure the family against spam and fraudsters. The application provides for two user roles: "family manager" and "family member". The head of family tracks the location of family members and manages their restrictions.

IMPORTANT
We use the accessibility features to:
· Prevent intruders from affecting its operation via device settings.
· URL-filter protects family member from unwanted web-sites in all supported browsers.
· Protect family member from unwanted apps using Application control.

Using Dr.Web Family Security, you can:

· Monitor the digital activity of dependent devices in real time. For example, what applications are downloaded and what websites are visited.
· Ascertain the location of family member devices. If your child is staying late at school and your parents are at the store — you will see this.
· Filter web resources and block potentially dangerous and dubious sites.
· Shield your family members from unwanted calls and SMS messages, including spam and calls and messages from unknown and hidden numbers.
· Limit the usage time for individual applications or groups of applications. For example, you can allow your child to play on their device for 1 hour a day.
· Block a device if it is lost or stolen and delete all the data from it remotely.

Licensing

The license gives users access to the application’s functions and regulates their rights in accordance with the License agreement. The head of family acquires a license for themself and their family members. Depending on the license type, the head of family can protect 1, 5, or 10 family member devices. Family members cannot purchase or renew a license on their own.

Getting started with the application
· Install the application. To do this, download the installation file to all the family devices, but run it only on the main device.
· Create a family manager account — this is the role that protects all the family members.
· Select the appropriate license: for 1, 5, or 10 protected devices.
· Give the application the necessary permissions.
· Create family member accounts — for the protected devices.
· Configure the protection parameters: lists of allowed and banned contacts, and secure sites and applications.
