User Reviews
Downloaded the app mostly for the dictionary part but it seems lacking. Some common American English words don't show up at all--I presume maybe they are not so common in UK English or Norsk; frustrating for a dictionary app nonetheless. Biggest complaint is full screen ads popping up after only one or two searches. There's no clear way to clear them. Anywhere you click just opens the advertisement content. I have to force close the app and reopen it to get the ad to go away.
This is so focused on games that the dictionary appears to be an afterthought. The list of irregular verbs is only available in English. The definitions show little, if any, information about the word. No plural, no use in a sentence, no other forms. Verbs get tenses in English, but not in Norwegian. There is a setting for the user's language, but changing it does nothing.
I really love the offline capabilities as well as the home screen widget. Being able to get randomized flashcards on my home screen makes the app so convenient. The only thing I would add is how to pronounce the words on the widget. The rest of the apps is great too!
Awesome app to learn Norsk. The dictionary contains many common words (and phrases too!) and also a lot of uncommon words/phrases. They also have many tools to help you memorize and learn the language.
