Translates fine, but the ads, THE ADS ARE HORRENDOUS. This was the worst thing I touched as a free user. I only needed to translate one language, not get the same pop up saying "it's better to get this pakcage", then a random forced ad down my throat. Straight up from the bottom of the garbage pile. Going back to Google Translate.
Not only do the ads take up too much space (so that I accidentally click on them), but the 'click here to exit the ad' button is so small that I usually end up clicking the ad. Worst of all, the photo translation feature in the free version can't translate basic Japanese! I just get an error message saying it's junk text. Google Translate is free and EASILY translates Japanese in pictures, so there's no excuse for this.
I’d love to give this app a higher rating, but I was only able to use it once before the ads completely took over. After that first use, every attempt to return to the app just loaded more ads with no option to get back to the actual features. I genuinely liked the app during the one time I got to use it but that was less than five minutes, nowhere near enough time to decide if I wanted to purchase it.
Worked very well. Had a doctor's note with a medication list with a header. It translated with the header and the two separate columns. Though a black bar is over some of the header, it's still very good. I tried another app that had a 4.6 but separated the header and two columns into one, making it unreadable even in my own language. I will be checking the accuracy of the language with my neighbor. I'll update if it's inaccurate. If not it also translated well.
