I used to really like this game. It was straightforward and inexpensive to play. Now it just feels like a money grab. New currency after new currency is being introduced, all of which must be purchased separately at anywhere up to $100 USD per pop. Also for sale are numerous gameplay and event boosters which also drive up the cost of playing while at the same time eliminate any sense of personal achievement. In a nutshell, the game has seriously become a pay-to-win app and is no longer fun.
This game caters to the higher level players and trust me when I say it's very hard to level up because your base will be farmed by those higher level players. They will attack you and there is nothing you can do to hurt the higher level players, except stay shielded up 24/7. All you will be doing is collecting resources for the first 2 to 3 years playing this game, unless you have $$$$, and I do mean a larg bank account to spend on this game.
war planet is a well made strategy game. I was blown away by the detail on structures and vehicles. I just couldn't stop playing it. but there is one minor detail. It's a little complicated to get to certain things and controls. I also think they should make a sandbox mode so people can test out and determine how many troops they need to defeat another number of troops in a strategic way. other than that I give this game 5 stars.
I thoroughly enjoy this game, but it is absolutely geared toward monied players. That being said, without monied players, there wouldn't be a game. However, recently, an already greedy Gameloft (IMO) has decided to host "Legendary" or "Gold" events on an almost daily basis - these events def make the game more interesting but, they are obviously intended to garner profit over pleasure. Otherwise, I find the game very challenging, but it DOES requires long term TEAM commitment!
