its a great game, when it works right. several times I have gone offline. closed the game with my character inside my fort with locks on every door. Then when I get back online my character mysteriously died, dropped everything, and it disappeared so I can't reclaim it. today I got all that and my closet full of armor disappeared. no attacks on my fort. Just all gone. no attacks on my fort. Makes one wonder, what's the point.
I thought it would be a nice survival game to survive a zombie apocalypse. It is not, it's a PVP server where you have to survive the best against other players before everything resets. If you like that, it's a good download. For me, I just wanted to survive and build something nice. So not the best game ever, it should do better to advertise what it actually is.
First of all, I have always loved this game, but I agree with other reviewers; the advantage that paying players have over non-paying players is unfair. F2P players don't even stand a chance. You also can no longer access protected/pve mode without a battle pass, which seriously frustrates me. And finally, the game keeps freezing on the loading screen; I have to close and reopen the app several times for it to load.
Edit: I made the mistake of thinking this was a game where you could build indefinitely and explore, it isn't. This IS a PVP game and the point IS to get as far as you can until the servers reset. (15 days or less depending on your server). Everything you do is just temporary so build fast, no need to make everything perfect and kill (or work with) everyone else. When the server ends the entire map resets and you get rewards or skins for how well you survived against other players.
