the game itself is amazing and I enjoyed every second of playing it, but at some point it hit me with a never ending "connecting to cloud save" that prevented me from playing my old saves and making new saves. I've re downloaded, cleared cache and so on and the only solution I've found is to wipe all progress I have and start completely fresh. The game itself is amazing which is why this is a 2 and not a 1 but I don't appreciate having to erase hours of hard work and planning.
It's a lovely game and I really like it! The one thing I've found so far though is that the controls are a little wonky, especially for stuff like placing landfills (which is practically impossible in many places because of this), and that it's not clear that the Feat rewards are not supposed to be immediately rewarded, but that you (I think) have to find an in-game place to claim them.
This is an A-grade port, if you were holding out on other platforms because of the price I definitely recommend it here. Obviously it comes with the potential caveats of mobile controls (targeting is sometimes a little finicky, and some customization options would be nice) but throughout the majority of my game time I've been pretty impressed with the controls. The core gameplay loop fits right in on a phone and I've enjoyed playing thoroughly in both bite-sized bursts and hours-long sessions.
This is a really fun builder/survival/grind kind of game. The concept and gameplay are excellent. But the controls are bad even for mobile. One moment you can place an item, next moment you can't. Touch screen joysticks are only passable at best in most games, this really needs a single finger touch input for movement and placing items. Also some items can be placed by using the "use" function but other items can not. For example walls can be "used" but flooring can not. Stardew did it right.
