I have been playing this game for almost 4 years and unfortunately it's sad to say that it has become less and less playable every day. The game is constantly crashing and disconnecting. There are way too many game bugs now. I used to be able to switch between this game and other applications and I cannot anymore. Contacting customer service is hopeless, they only respond with AI and do not resolve my game issues.
The intent of the game is great. Strategy, military, alliances, battles - it's fun until the game developer is now more focused on in-app purchases. You can play the game, at no cost, up to a certain level then it just becomes a money grab from the developers. The game also has a seasonal game called Reign of Chaos which is fun if the matchmaking is balanced and not one sided. There are also many in-game storylines that are yet to be completed by the developers - many of them have been pending.
The game has a "Rise of Nations" or "Age of Empires" feel HOWEVER, it seems to be very limited in what you can do and when, as if the game is always leading you and not letting you figure out things for yourself. Otherwise it is a fun daily game to play for 15-20 minutes at a time. once you get to level 21, 22+ it becomes really difficult to advance as the creators have pushed it into a pay-to-play type game at that point, so if you want to advance any further you either have to buy stuff.
Regrettably the ads for this game are very misleading. There are no setups as depicted in the ad. With that being said, the game is quite enjoyable if able to align oneself with a decent alliance in a peaceful state. If one is free-to-play, it has become increasingly difficult as progress is quite slow without paying. Although there are inexpensive packages, they can quickly add up.
