Excellent port of a dungeon crawling classic. One of my favorites, this game has challenging, loot oriented gameplay that never gets old. Hasn't changed from the old PS2 version. Touch screen controls are a bit crowded but not much can be done for that. My only issue is that the block button sometimes fails to register, leaving me open when a couple hits can kill me in a second. Not sure why it does that.
Folding device. Game runs great as long as I have aspect ratio lowered so there's bars on top and bottom of game screen. If I go full screen it cuts off text and makes it impossible to see some of the equipment stats. It would be awesome if the game could be optimized a little for different screen sizes. On screen controlls are great and graphics are pretty good too. Just hope an update comes with screen size options.
The game has some serious frame rate issues. At times the character movement when slows down to a crawl or even full stop. Edit: I've reduced resolution and still have slowdown, especially during battles. I guess I'll have to wait for the fps update. Another note, when using touch controls and pressing the attack icon with a bow equipped, weapon does not fire. Making the human "archer" limited to using melee weapons.
How did I ever miss this game! Thank you guys for giving us old schoolers something to play other than the original Baldurs Gate, over and over thanks to Beam Dog. I have always loved this type of game but no one makes them like this anymore. I love it! My only issue so far is I waste a lot of arrows when trying to point in just the right direction to hit something. My only suggestion so far is that I wish there was more character races, proffesions and alignments. Keep making these BG games.
