I come back to this game every few years, and though the gameplay is always the same, the game is in a pretty terrible state this time due to ads. Actions that used to take 1 ad now play 3 in a row, and keeping your money multiplier at "3x" (functionally just the default) requires you to watch 9 ads periodically to charge it up. An average play session will have more time spent watching ads than actually playing, especially if you only have a few minutes of downtime to play during.
It did freeze up on me once and one time, the pause button wasn't showing, but I think it was because I didn't have a lot of space left on my phone or it could be the battery getting drained. One thing, I always noticed is that if I'm playing a mobile game and it messes up in some way, it's sometimes because I used up a lot of space on my phone because sometimes when I free up space, the game would work better afterwards, but now, it's working great. Addictive and great time waster.
I absolutely love this game! You can tell the developers put a lot of love in the game because the only ads that you can get are for certain awards, they aren't in your face like other mobile games. The gameplay is also super addictive and really thought out. The features make you want to keep coming back too. From collecting enemies to upgrades to heroes, this game has everything it needs and more for a great mobile game.
This game is near perfect, all ads are COMPLETELY optional while giving you a reward for watching one. The controls are smooth aswell as the game overall and I love all the wacky characters, environments, etc. Its a fun to playthrough but I do have 2 main complaints. 1: The game at times can feel a bit grindy ESPECIALLY when your doing the whole rifts. 2: For some reason idk if it's my phone or what but when I watch an ad the game doesn't register forcing me to watch another one for zero reason.
