Same as everyone else says. Loved Lookout, and now I will guaranteed NEVER pay. I have been avoiding opening it for a while because of the issues and how it looked like it was going to require my info. Somehow, without update, they've enabled the notifications that it needs update to pop up every 3-10 minutes on my phone which I know will require the paid version. I guess it's the final goodbye to Lookout. Will make sure this company never gets my money and take the risks instead.
Very satisfied. I highly recommend the premium service. It covers a lot more security issues and protects up to 3 mobile devices for the price. The only thing I don't like is the lazy programming that formats the screen ONLY for cell phones. Come on, Lookout, we have tablets, too. Fix it for landscape mode. It's unsettling, at the least, to be told the app isn't optimized for my device.
I've been using lookout on my devices for 2 decades. Whenever I wanted to be sure I could open it up and do a scan. Now, for the past month, it is almost always unusable. When I open it up, the page that pitches the paid version obscures the functional page, so I can't run a scan. I guess they think annoying me is the way to make a sale. In the past, I have considered paying. Now; NEVER.
After many years of trusting Lookout for free, and after a new company took over with high disappointment I am obliged to engage in a free trial and then be charged if you continue. They in an "aggressive" manner don't let you even have the free trial without entering all your info plus payment method; you can't leave the screen. This is unbelievable. I was very satisfied with Lookout, but not now that they not consider who has it for years without any notice that the app is not free anymore.
