Ads start immediately after the pop-up asks you to rate the game. After every level you get asked to watch an ad to multiply your reward. If you opt not to do so, you still have to watch the ads, but get no bonus. That is scummy and low. Game also is such a rapid drain on battery that my phone loses charge even when playing with it on the charger. 2 stars instead of one for what could be an enjoyable game if not for being just a colorful ad platform.
I want to give this game 5 stars but I want the developers to see this and hopefully change things. I really like the game and planned on playing it for awhile so I paid for ad free. Now I'm running into the issue of it taking forever to recharge my energy. You get one point every 5 minutes and you need 15-20 points per picture in the later levels. That's an hour and 40 mins just to do one picture.
Fun game. Forced ads but they're not too intrusive. Really like the art style, sounds, and feel compared to other similar games but I have already beaten all the levels so that's the only reason for 4 stars. EDIT: They have continued to add new levels in the updates but the system for energy and puzzle pieces feels a little tedious sometimes. Overall still would recommend.
$9.99 USD is an insane amount to pay to make the game ad free, but the forced ads that show up can be skipped by quitting and reopening the app. While that is a bit annoying, it's so much better than the alternative :) Gratifying haptic vibration. The pictures are decent. Most games like this don't save a partially completed picture, this one does.
