If you have Google Play Pass, this game is free with no ads or microtransactions at all, and in this day and age that is so rare. This is a really fun adaptation of the classic game, and I love playing the online multiplayer feature, there are always players to play with at any time of day! I love how low-stakes the game is, and is a fun little distraction, like mobile games are meant to be in my opinion. I truly adore this game and highly recommend it to anyone who already has Play Pass.
First off. This is NOT Mouse Trap. Marmalade are usually very good at making a near perfect adaptation of Hasbro's board games. So this game should be no exception. But it's something completely different, and definitely not as good. The biggest appeal to the original was the "building the trap" aspect. And other video game versions of the game do this. Even the Family Game Night 3 version (that's also not based off the original) had a trap building element, something this version lacks.
Great game. Love the animations and sounds. But a few things keeping me from rating 5 stars: - My character is always red. Only been another color once even though I've played a lot of games. - Blue and green always goes first. - Rigg's wheel isn't responsive to player. Result generated by game. - Can't figure out what determines how much cheese is stolen in trap. Otherwise, very happy with it!
Love the graphics and overall gameplay. Started by playing offline just to get the feel of it. Noticed several obvious things that compromise any fairness in that more. I have yet to see any dice rolls of 2, 3, 11, or 12. Also at the end of the game when I spin the wheel either fast or slow, it most likely will land on -10. Also when the wheel is spun to determine who goes first, it has never landed on the yellow player. It most times will land on the space for my player. FRUSTRATING.
