This game is actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Fun and challenging. My main issue with it, I really wish there was a vehicle blueprint system, so you could save different builds. 1) so you could bounce between maps without having to rebuild everything. 2) so you can have multiple vehicles for the infinite race on each map
I loved the first game and was looking forward to this one. I was extremely disappointed. The entire system of the game is built around lootboxes that contain parts. Some levels pretty much require certain parts, but the lootboxes don't give you a choice in what you get. So you're either forced to wait an inordinate amount of time waiting for a drip feed of boxes from the deliveries (missions only doable every few hours) or, as perhaps the developers intended, spend a lotta money. Not worth it.
Vast improvment over the first game in a lot of ways except for the ads. They make you watch one every other time you go back to the main menu, and each mission is only like 30 seconds so you wind up watching an ad about every minute. On harder stages where you need to go back and make adjustments you'll get more frustrated by the ads than the puzzles, which are genuinely fun btw. There's also no way to remove ads, not even if you make a purchase
It's okay, limited part variety is one minor downside and another is that you now have to base your builds on (seemingly) random loot drops from challenges. I spent two days making no progress in missions because I had to grind for the possibility of battery drops, not too fun. I also had a problem with a "fatal error" message after a mission which crashed the game and lost my win for the mission. The game does run smoothly and is quite enjoyable. Edit: Nothing has gotten better since last time
