The NVIDIA SHIELD TV app lets you log in to your favorite GeForce NOW games on SHIELD even faster.
The app gives you instant access to a virtual mouse and keyboard, which makes it simple for you to enter your username and password into game services like Steam®, EPIC Games, and Uplay™.

App works great, I love it. WHEN IT WORKS. It only works on first launch. As soon as you lock your phone or multi-task to another app, the app looks like it is still connected, but none of the buttons work until you kill the app and re-open it. I've tried turning off battery optimization and stuff, it's not related to that. The app is broken. TERRIBLE bug for a remote control where I quickly want to pause or change volume, and I need to kill and re-open.
Unlike other reviews, the app worked perfectly for me... Until the most recent update. Now I have to re-pair the phone everytime I want to control the shield. That means everytime I'm watching content and want to pause, lower the volume, or in other way control the media, the content stops and I have to reenter the 6 digit code to pair my device. Nice going Nvidia.
I was really impressed the tech reviews of Shield Pro and NVIDIA are known for their graphics cards. But looks their device sucks big time. 😕 Totally disappointed 😞. Sometimes the apps get stuck, I initially thought it was a particular set of apps like HBO Max etc. But then realized, the list of apps not working is endless. If WIFI gets disconnected, device just freezes, the Mi Box performed much better. Switching OFF does not work, when app is stuck, you have to disconnect the power cord. 🤢
Not interested in sharing location data, without benefit to myself. So it won't launch. Based on others reviews, it's lacking. The best thing about the Google version is the voice button, because Assistant can do so much. I use a USB wireless keyboard/touchpad that was around $10, it has everything better than this app, and is good enough for game input. Worth getting real instead of virtual.
