Pretty great game, a little simple and repetitive but I find it very satisfying and enjoyable. I'm to floor 60 now with a few hours put in, it's definitely addictive. Wish the combat was a little more user-controlled and varied, it's mostly automatic but you can use spells and potions if you need to. Not many quests and the few there are simple, fetch types. Would like more NPCs with more dialogue. More secrets and hidden areas. Simple RPG-lite, lots of loot and different builds.
Giving it 3 stars. I know it's in development, and the concept is great. The biggest problem I have is that no matter what gear/weapons I'm using, NONE of it is reflected on your character. It seems like a minor thing at first, but it really takes away all the fun of finding cool new stuff when you can't see any of it on your character. Even a flaming sword doesn't change the look of your default weapon. Super disappointing.
It's a fun game. I played years ago, and it's exactly the same experience as back then. One of the cons of this game is replayability. Once you've beaten the game, there's basically no incentive to play again, unfortunately. The other modes available (monster's lair, green goo's quest, the labyrinth) aren't different enough to justify me playing them, and the differences between the characters you can choose from aren't terribly different either, with only minor stat differences between them.
I keep seeing 1* review making the same mistakes. Enemies don't move because it's meant to be a conscious choice to fight one. Pick fights carefully or you will run out of resources. This is a RogueliKe. If you die, you're going to restart from square absolute-zero. Items that are un-enchanted cannot leave the dungeon. You're looking for an enchanted pair of Wings that spawn in the Green Chests about 3 floors into a run. You can learn to enchant items as early as Player Lvl 6, if you rush it.
