About Oticon Companion
This app lets you control your hearing aids from your mobile device. Just a note: some features may be available depending on your hearing aid model. Check below for details.

• Mute surroundings for better focus

First use:
You need to pair your hearing aids with this app to use it to control your hearing aids.
App availability:
The app is compatible with most hearing aid models. If you have hearing aids from 2016-2018 and haven't updated them yet, a hearing aid update is required for this app to work. We recommend regular hearing aid updates during your routine check-up with your hearing care professional.

The app is very straightforward and easy to use. The only major problem is that I have to uninstall and reinstall about every 2 to 3 months because the app just stops working which is difficult because then I have to reconnect it with my hearing aids in the charger. So if this happens at work, I'm pretty much stuck without being able to change any settings. additionally, it will just randomly disconnect from my hearing aids for a few seconds, which is odd.
Absolutely Horrible. At least once a month I have to re-pair my hearing aids with it because it loses connection with at least one of them. At least once every other month I need to uninstall and reinstall the app because it's unable to pair with one of my hearing aids. I have the Bluetooth television audio adapter. 95% of the time when I connect to the television adapter the app loses one or both channels within 3 seconds of connecting. The television adapter is great but the phone app sucks.
Very useful and responds quickly. Extremely disappointed, though, that there are multiple options shown for Tap Control under the hearing aid settings, yet you are still unable to access or configure any of them except for turning on/off the function to answer phone calls. I would hope that it would be just as easy to double-tap to start/stop music as easy as it is to answer/end a phone call.
I few years ago I would have rated this app two or three stars. But the Oticon team has been wonderfully helpful and responsive to my requests for help. As my hearing has degraded, I have begun to use the Oticon TV 3.0 adapter. It has greatly enhanced my ability to enjoy sports and other programing on TV to the point where I purchased another adapter to use elsewhere in my house. I am quite grateful for this app. Sometimes reconnecting bluetooth is difficult but I am not sure that's the app.
