I've been playing it for about 5 months. Gameplay wise it is excellent. Accessible to casual players, but also a lot of depth for those who want to understand the game and have fun with team building. The crafting, exploration, and ranking events all have a charm to it. The gacha rates for the debut character is also higher than most gacha. There are concerns: lackluster anniversaries, and gacha system (no transferrable pity, few free gems a month with new equipment gacha) I recommend it. :)
I played this game when it released in Japan, and it was really fun - until I couldn't update it anymore. I was looking forward to trying it again in English, but I can't even get started - the needed 380MB+ download after opening the game puts up an error message if it thinks it isn't happening fast enough. Granted, I have slow home wifi (DSL), but this hasn't been a problem for other games I play - the downloads take a while, but they still happen. Not with this game. I hope to play someday.
I was so excited for the NA release since it released in Japan a few years back. However, as it currently is, the game is entirely unplayable. A 330MB+ download is required shortly after the first cutscene. However, an error message will pop up saying that it can't be downloaded due to slow speeds, even if you have pretty good internet. I can't even get the bar past 8% before it boots me back to the title screen. Until this problem is fixed, my rating will have to stay at one star.
Fun game at first, and cool that they incorporated the storyline into the game. Struggling, though, to understand the power rankings and requirements for some battles (e.g. recommended 14500 power, while I am well over 17000, and yet still cannot get a win without HEAVY item usage?) Battle system can get quite stale as well, with almost no explanation of how the "tension" system works without digging into the help menu.
