Don't be a sucker. You buy the scanner. Bought mine on Amazon. Then you have to buy a subscription. I bought the 30 day trial. $20. The web site lists loads of custom settings for my vehicle. Loaded it and found that half are not there and not supported. Still waiting on an answer from tech support. This is clearly misleading. Subscription is non refundable. Quite the hustle. Waste of money. Returned scanner to Amazon. Shame on Carista and Google for allowing this on the Play Store.
so, all of a sudden, without any prior warning, when I'm trying to use the device, I'm now receiving a message that the app (that was compatible with my device before) is no longer compatible with my device...and no upgrade is available...so, the device that I bought is now a totally useless piece of plastic. I will NEVER buy another product from Carista EVER again!
This app might be useless for some car brands. All basic functions are present but it really lacks the advanced functions they market on the app info. page. They're informing you that "i" some of the functions might not be available depending on the cars configuration. So if the car is equipped with the module it should scan and if it scans you should be able to execute any adjustments advertised. I was just trying to reset and re-write TPMS sensors on my Prius...as advertised.NO GOOD!
I've had this app installed on my phone for years. When I first installed it I remember making changes to my Toyota for free. The next time I tried the app it required a purchase. No problem. I buy almost every app I use. Figured I would buy next I used. Price doubled. Starting saving my Play balance. Price doubled. It was up to $20 last time I checked. Expensive, but still on my list. Opened today to buy...$40 a year. Yikes. My fault for waiting, but wow. Insane. $10 one time also insane. Uninstalled.
