It is getting better. But, I wish the new features were optional. I need the customer to see his details and totals - but don't want them or my clerk to have to click on anything else to complete the transaction. It slows thing down since we have to click the "complete order" on our side or the customer has to read about how to get a receipt. The extra features are great for those who have the time and want them. All we want is the thing to stay connected and show the checkout details.
This app provides a readout to the customer of what they are purchasing, then gives them an option to have their receipt sent to them. These features are essentially useless in most business cases. Desired features that would bring this product to useful for us: Portal or simple URL to load for promotions, data, etc. Use as a POS terminal. Any real interactivity for the customer at all. It's a frustrating waste of potential.
Been using since opening in April 2022. Had some issues, but it's less buggy now. Customers appreciate seeing itemization of their purchase. Since the developers seem to read these reviews, though: 1) I used to capture a customer email when offering a receipt. Now that they can enter their own email, it's killed my email game! Please add an opt-in to the email receipt option! PLEASE! 2) "Present Card" confuses people. They hand me the card. Perhaps "Make Payment," or make it customizable.
We have stopped using this app ever since customers were allowed to CHOOSE to get a text receipt instead of leaving their email! We have no use for phone numbers! We only want to capture emails. I've sent messages and had Shopify send a message leaving feedback. It's been well over 4 months since we've used this app simply because we want to capture emails. Please give us an option to remove text message receipts!
