About Solve It - A visual novel
Matthew Park was fabulously wealthy, had a beautiful wife, and was renowned for his genius. In short, he had it all - that is, until he was murdered. There’s no shortage of suspects you must investigate to find the killer. Was it his son who he constantly yelled at, his wife who would inherit everything, or his investor who was disappointed in his performance?

I love Haiku's adventure escape series. This was different and mostly enjoyable, definitely a different experience. The only thing I really don't like is the "keys" energy system. Each chapter costs one key and they're only a couple minutes long, so paying $2 for 3 keys is barely more than 5 minutes of play. That being said, I just played randomly as the keys refilled themselves so it wasn't really a big deal. If it were a different company I'd give a lower rating.
I've loved all of Haiku's games so far, but this is pretty different. I'm not as thrilled with the lack of puzzle interaction. the whole game is run in a wizard like fashion, so you're really limited to predetermined responses. I really don't like the timers on the keys, which are the way to the next scene. Basically, makes you either sit on your hands or pay for access over and over again. I've supported Haiku in the past and really like their stuff, but I'm not sure if I'll finish this.
This is a vast departure from their Adventure Escape games, which made for a shock. This is more of a "Choose your own adventure" type game. But it is very well written and you can have some "premium" side stories that are unlockable using "Sleuth Points" which are fairly easy to earn in-game if you don't want to pay real money. All up, a fun game to play and worth the replay to get better endings.
This was not as fun as the usual Adventure Escape Mystery games...for me, at least. I enjoy the puzzles, though sometimes the puzzles don't always connect well with the theme of the game and I am forced to Google a cheater app... But over all I have been pleased with the Adventure Escape games. This was all lingo and too much word play for me, I prefer the logic tuned puzzles rather than the "guess which question should be asked next" puzzles. In my opinion, the release was not worth the wait.
