Pretty clever little game! Seems pretty early days still, as there are only 2 playable characters. Deck building is a lot of fun though, with plenty of skill and strategy. The art is well made and stylish. They are pushing a LOT of ads though. None of them are necessary, but every level and shop item can be improved if you watch. These are long ads too. They gotta make money, so I get it, but it's still annoying.
It's truly a fantastic game and idea at its core. HOWEVER, the amount of aggressive pop-ups you receive throughout your experience quite literally breaks the game. Look, I understand it's a form of marketing, and I honestly don't mind hitting the tiny X button with desperate hopes i'll accidently click the ad if I miss. But to shove marketing pop-ups into my face that locks the UI from proceeding while in an encounter and I have to restart the game to even continue? Yeah.. I'll pass.
A wonderful and very accessible take on the card-based Rogue-lite genre. It rewards you for investing time by giving you persistent gear and stat upgrades that will make future runs easier, so you don't need to be a hardcore strategist to succeed and progress. My biggest grievance is actually that the runs are too short compared to some other games, so you can't quite get the really busted deck builds you want, as well the lack of a card list at present, although that could be easily patched.
Man, this game used to be so much FUN. The last update to this game made it so frustrating that it's become unplayable. This was going to become my new everyday game, but after they packed in fights that are just, frankly, unbeatable, with no heals, and puny card options, I'm ready to uninstall and try to find something else. Grinding for weeks to go up 1 singular level in realm 19 is just insulting at this point.
