until yesterday I played the simple, old daily crossword. Today it is a mess of garish colors and shapes. When I type in letters they cross the line into the cells below. it's just not playable. This happened once before but then returned to the simple version but this version is just useless.
Good puzzles, very bad controls. It is very hard to figure out how to actual fill out a puzzle. I've completed several, but I feel I'm missing something. It is difficult to change from across to down and vice versa and to get back to the square you started from. I feel like there is a control I'm missing, but there are no instructions as to how to navigate. QA doesn't seem to have been part of development.
The games are ok if a little buggy, but the real issue is that paying for the subscription doesn't remove ads on all the games. The ads are near constant. Every time you click into the game you have to watch an ad, and there are random banner ads several times a minute that cover half the screen. When you click to minimize them the music cuts out and the controls lock up for a few seconds. This makes playing anything timed very annoying because the timer doesn't stop for the ads.
New software update is awful! Keyboard takes up too much space and you can't see the whole puzzle. The archive has you scroll down which takes forever instead of choosing a date on a calendar. But most important for me is that I'm unable to print blank puzzles to take to work since I can't have my phone at work. What a waste of a $40/year subscription!
