Love the series and the characters, the game is okay, but a bit one note with a heavy emphasis on expensive microtransactions. Many of the translation errors have been addressed. Several events so far, which is nice, and the game regularly adds characters. The game may benefit from more explanations on items, as there are several that I have no idea how to use. Costumes look nice, but are very expensive. A few characters probably need buffs.
I'm a huge fan of the Trails series, and this game is such a disappointment. Incorrect character names, bad translations, typos everywhere... There was clearly no attention paid at all when making this game. And I could look past all that if the game was fun to play, but it's just not that enjoyable. Game modes are repetitive, the style feels very outdated, and it tries too hard to sell you content. This game is not very friendly to F2P players, and it's not fun enough to spend real money on.
The game makes you go through the most barebones tutorial while annoying you with awful mechanics. You don't even really play the game, it plays itself while you watch what goes on. This is literally as bad if not worse than the anime that Northern War got. If you want a real Trails experience, just buy the mainline games. They're very accessible and not expensive at all. Don't waste your time on this awful half-assed content. Also the monetization is extremely predatory. Avoid this "game"
After an hour, all I gotta say is the English translation is pretty poor. There are errors all over the game including dialogue, character bios, the "title" of characters, the list goes on. Gameplay is pretty standard mobile gacha gameplay so far. I'll stick with it awhile as a F2P player, but only because it's my favorite game series. Edit: dropped to 2 stars after putting up with it longer, probably will drop another and the game itself before long. If you care about the story watch the anime.
