I can't get it to work. Every time I open the app, the earbuds are gone. Paired with the phone, but gone from the app. I have to reconnect, and it often fails. Even if it shows connected, most of the translate features error out with the message "pair a device first" so it's just not talking with the earbuds...yet the translation is shown on the charging case. Music playback and EQ tuning are satisfactory, however without translation I have no use for this app and I'll go back to my old earbuds.
The device that this app integrates with connected to the phone faily quickly, but app features were not available without some work. As someone else mentioned, make sure to turn off your VPN, and I would also add to not do the initial "hand shake" set up over a WiFi connection. I have a very high-speed connection, but there is still just enough delay difference between the WiFi data and a strong 5g 5bar connection to cause issues. After the initial set-up, the WiFi connection route works.
Miniso M98 earbuds connect to phones Bluetooth just fine. But the Earjoy app doesn't allow the earbuds to connect. I purchased these for work specifically to help customers with language barriers. What a waste of money if you aren't able to use the translation feature. Earjoy, you really need to fix your application. I feel like I got scammed since it doesn't work as advertised. Can't even find directions or any type of support.
The TikTok ads lie. It is NOT voice activated nor does it automatically detect the language you are hearing. You need your phone to make it work which isn't mentioned in the ads. As others have mentioned the Conversation mode in Google Translate works better and has more features than the required Earjoy app. In addition, upon install the Earjoy app gave me six or seven translation modes. Then, the next time I accessed Earjoy all modes had disappeared but two. Rip off app.
