The new PID Lítačka mobile application completely replaces the PID Info transport application. The PID Lítačka mobile application searches for the cheapest fare and allows you to buy single tickets valid for 30 minutes or up to as much as 3 days directly from your mobile telephone using a bank card.
You can also buy tickets without registering
The application displays information about current closures and offers the user a list of P+R car parks with information about their current capacity. It also allows you to purchase several single tickets in one go which the passenger then activates as and when required. The user can also forward the purchased ticket to another user who has the application installed on their device. Tickets purchased via the PID Lítačka application are valid in all of the Prague Integrated Transport zones, i.e. also in the integrated parts of the Central Bohemian Region, including trains operated by České dráhy.

With this app, I find Google maps totally unnecessary. It is possibly one of the better public transport apps I have used. You can select the current location or point to point, and it will load all possible routes with an option to purchase a tkt. Pretty slick. Also, a system map showing parking as well as current location including buses, trams, trains, etc.
Honestly one of the best transit apps I've ever used, made navigating around Prague really easy and I found it to be quite reliable. Room for improvement is in the accuracy of route finding to a specific address which is not a transit stop. A couple of times it seemed to not actually pick a route that would get me to the closest available stop near my destination but have me get off farther away. If I chose the closest stop as the destination and not the building address, it gave better results.
I haven't had a great experience with this app, unfortunately. Navigation is efficient, but while adding passes is heavily promoted I found it difficult in practice. I couldn't add my phone as an "identifier", and the help number only receives sms (and the chat on their site is Czech only). I was somehow able to add my credit card as an identifier and buy a pass, but the pass doesn't show up under "passes" so using it is confusing. Next time I'll buy paper tickets.
The ticket controller came, I opened the app. I tried to click on the tickets and it pops up an error saying the app was not installed originally... amazing, I got fined. I managed to fix the app with basic troubleshooting, but now I have to go to them to show my yearly pass and even pay a small amount. all because their app doesn't work properly. edit: hi, I had just again a bad experience. Th app did not notify my my annual ticket expired. the ticet controller came and charged me 1200czk even
