This is a phenomenal app that I have been using licensed since 2019 to streamline programs that claim permissions they don't need as well as too many resources in terms of battery and ram. The developer did a brilliant job and put safeguards in the app so you can go back if you make a mistake. It should be getting 5 stars from everyone but some people aren't reading: this must be used in combination with Shizuku or ADB to work properly. But it lets you take charge without root! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍🤗
This is already incredibly useful. I only wish I had it earlier. The default permission controller on my phone is bundled with other scum modules and automatically kills apps sometimes. It deleted all my games in a folder as much as 88GB data. I had to disable the default malware but would be left without a way to change app permissions. Thanks to this app, I can not only control app permissions again but also fine tune them.
It does the job for me. I managed to block some apps from reading the clipboard, because they were doing it without my consent or control. As for improvements, I wish the app had an option to reset the permissions instead of making a choice. The "reset all settings to system default" doesn't work for me, if that should be what I'm looking for.
Does not work with the original Shizuku app by Rikka! Use the fork by thedjchi on GitHub, clean App Ops' data before if you have it installed. The app list will now load, but not all permissions can be changed. That's not the fault of this app, however, it's just Android/OEM restricting user freedom.
