Very simplistic point and click game the progression goes like this: 'scavenge' car trunk or crate, turn based fight enemies with rng determining if the attack lands, sometimes 'rescue' a survivor who is protected from the zombies by a barricade, defeat the 'boss' fight rinse and repeat. Areas are small and linear with only a couple of enemies at most and the characters have 3 random skills that can ve levelled up. I would not recommend this game to anyone looking for a genuine survival game.
This game is fun, but HARD. I've been playing it for a very, very long time. I eventually unlocked the Bully, but that was all. The map is randomly generated, you can only have up to 3 people in your group before it's considered "too many" for others to join", and, if you manage to find the escape van, the enemies you must steal the gas from are probably too incredibly overpowered to stand a chance. You can't grind to level up due to dead ends and powerful enemies. Fun, but can't progress.
Levels are fairly short and can get samey real fast with you dealing with zombies, bandits or a couple police units. Weapons lose durability on use, not on hit, on use. Which means if you miss (which you will more often than not even if the game says you have a 75% hit chance) the weapon you are using still loses durability for some reason. Leveling up and resource management (asides from weapons) is pretty managable as long as one plays carefully. Overall 2/5, okay for an hour but then move on.
Great game, but the hit chance is way off. When I have a 75% chance to hit I generally hit about 50% of the time. It would be better if the hit chance (when in melee range) was 100% and the melee skill affected damage instead. It feels terrible when you are in melee range with an 80% hit rate and you miss every hit for 5 turns. This has led to stalemates where my team and the enemy take ten turns missing each other only for the enemy's bad luck streak to end before mine does and I die.
